For me, magic is far more than an effect or a well-executed trick. It's a moment of pause, a brief moment of wonder, a genuine smile. This is precisely the feeling I wanted to share – and that's how Magic and Friends and DeinZaubershop.com came about.
I'm a magician, entertainer, and clown myself, and I regularly perform among the audience. Over the years, I've noticed one thing time and again: many people are interested in magic but don't know where to start. Some think magic is complicated or only for professionals. Others simply have never had the opportunity to try it. That's exactly where I come in.
A place where magic can be performed
My shop isn't a typical store where you quickly buy something and leave. Magic and Friends is meant to be a place where you can take your time. Anyone who comes in can watch, ask questions, and experience magic tricks live. I'm there almost every day myself, demonstrating the effects in person – exactly as they'll work later.
It's important for me to say: there's no obligation to buy anything . You can simply come in, watch a performance, and leave. My goal is to inspire people with magic – not to persuade them to do anything.
Children often experience their first conscious contact with magic here. Therefore, one thing is absolutely essential for me: every child always receives a free balloon figure , regardless of whether they buy anything or not.
Magic tricks that I personally endorse
My online shop DeinZaubershop.com follows this same principle. I personally know all the magic tricks I offer there. I perform them, have tested them, or use them myself in my shows. It's important to me that no one is overwhelmed – especially not beginners or children.
That's why I offer not only individual tricks, but also carefully curated beginner sets and bundles that allow you to learn step by step. Magic should be fun, motivating, and bring a sense of accomplishment – not frustration.
Many parents tell me that their children become more self-confident through magic, practice more patiently, and are proud when they can surprise others. I find this development particularly valuable.
Workshops instead of secrecy
Another important part of my concept is magic workshops for children and adults. These usually take place in the evenings directly in the shop. The workshops focus not only on learning tricks, but also on presentation skills, stage presence, and dealing with stage fright.
For me, magic isn't knowledge to be hidden away. On the contrary, I believe it grows stronger when shared. In small groups, a special atmosphere quickly develops where learning and wonder go hand in hand.
Open, personal and without language barriers
Since many visitors come from different countries, I speak English and Dutch in addition to German. Especially in a tourist region, it's important to me that language isn't a barrier. After all, magic works everywhere in the world.
What's really important to me
I didn't found Magic and Friends and DeinZaubershop.com simply to sell products. I wanted to create a place – both online and offline – where magic becomes tangible. A place where children, adults, beginners, and the curious are all welcome.
Magic can be easy. It can be fun. And it can connect people. That's exactly what I stand for – every day in the shop and in my online store.
