Examples of Routines in the Tutorial

• Thought-of Card: You show your spectator 5 cards and ask them to mentally choose and remember one card. After a magical gesture, one card disappears and becomes blank – it is exactly the card the spectator thought of.
• Oil and Water: You shuffle the deck and take out 3 red cards and 3 black cards. You alternate them to mix red and black cards. As if by magic, the red and black cards separate. After repeating the experiment a second time, the entire deck separates, with red cards on one side and black cards on the other.
• Printing: You start by showing a completely blank card (front and back), then ask the spectator to name any Queen. Once the card is named, you take the blank card and, as if by magic, the face of the chosen Queen appears. Finally, you magically print the back of the card, which can then be handed out for examination.
• Fusion: Two cards are freely chosen by the audience. With a magical gesture, the two cards fuse into one. After the audience has examined the fused card, you magically separate it back into the original two cards.
• Change: You show a prediction card with a different back before starting. The spectator chooses a card, but it doesn't match your prediction. Then you insert your prediction card into the deck so that it slightly protrudes. The card visibly transforms into the card chosen by the spectator, which can then be handed out for examination.
