Coin through glass

The magician shows the audience a small plate and places a 2-euro coin on it. He then inserts a rigid transparent glass and places it, opening down, over the coin on the plate. He then begins tapping a 5-cent coin on the bottom of the glass, and suddenly the audience sees the coin "pierce" the bottom of the glass and fall next to the 2-euro coin on the plate.
