Original 3rd Edition Butterfly Playing Cards – Red (with video tutorials)

The Butterfly Playing Cards Flagship – the latest and most advanced deck from the Butterfly Playing Cards family. Sleek, smooth on the edges, and a joy to handle, these decks have been refined to improve their overall quality. They are printed on Slimline card stock with True Linen B9 finish. The beautiful outer band with a Butterfly lock includes an instruction card explaining the marking system, so you can start learning as soon as you open your deck. The deck includes a double-back card, allowing you to perform even more magic with these cards.

We have filmed over 2 hours of tutorial videos for you: We cover the basics of Butterfly Playing Cards, demonstrate a dozen deck-exclusive effects, and share tips and principles that Ondrej has developed since the release of the first edition.

Tricks explained in the tutorial

  • Cut to any card mentioned – Cut to any card in a shuffled deck.
  • Pexeso/Memory – Find the matching card to a freely chosen card with just one cut.
  • Cut with the Three of Spades – The spectator finds their freely named card with the Three of Spades.
  • Butterfly Stacking – Find any four of a kind with a few riffle shuffles.
  • Impossible Divination – Correctly name a freely chosen card after your spectator shuffles the deck. There are infinitely many ways to finish this effect, some of which are revealed in the tutorial.
  • Butterfly Challenge – The spectator chooses a card and shuffles the deck. The deck is then cut into three piles. You then correctly state which pile contains the chosen card, what card it is, and its position in the pile.
  • Butterfly Clocking – By simply riffling through the deck, you can correctly name the card your spectator chose behind their back.
  • Clocking with a Kicker – The spectator chooses any card behind their back without seeing it. You then go through the deck to determine the missing (chosen) card. After that, you call out three numbers, discard the cards, and remove the cards at those positions. These cards have the same value and help you reveal the spectator's chosen card.
  • Multiple Divination – The spectator chooses several cards. While standing back to back, you correctly name each card they are holding in their hands.
  • Double-Decker with a Kicker – The spectator chooses a card and shuffles the deck. You then try to memorize the order of the deck. You take a card from a second deck, have your spectator name their chosen card, and then cut to it using the random card. As a kicker at the end, the card from the second deck matches the card next to your spectator's card.
