The design process began with a conventional approach to electronic impression pads – until a simple idea changed everything: integrating the chip directly into the notepad. This makes the PITATA the ultimate form of a Close-up Synchronous Impression Pad. The vision was clear: no fixed casing, but versatile camouflage options, so users can make it their own discreet tool.

1. Customizable Outer Casing

The PITATA Smart MemoPad has no fixed outer casing. The compact electronics board and chip measure 6.5 cm × 9 cm × 0.5 cm – roughly the size and thickness of a dozen playing cards, allowing it to be hidden in many places. Camouflage options:

• Memo Pad: The device comes with a hollowed-out memo pad. Place the electronics board inside, and it looks like an ordinary notepad. It contains 45 full sheets of paper and is sufficient for 40 performances (the bottom 5 sheets serve as thickness camouflage).
• Additional hollowed-out notepads: Further blocks of paper can be purchased separately.
• Spiral Hollow Notebook: Instead of the yellowish Post-it style notepad, a refillable spiral-bound notebook can be used.
• Memo Pad with Leather Case: The unit can be integrated into a high-quality leather case – for an elegant appearance.
• Playing Card Tuck Box: With a few modifications, the MemoPad fits into a playing card tuck box, ideal for jotting down information on cards or Post-its.
