Predic – The Interactive Prediction Experience by Damien Vappereau & Marc Celiandre
Predic offers a contemporary approach to predictions in magic: simple, direct, and incredibly convincing. Five QR codes, scanned by the spectator themselves, lead to five completely different objects – and right from the start, the spectator is actively involved in the effect. A clever mechanism without hidden techniques ensures that the impression of magic remains believable.
This progressive, modern, and impossible experience places the spectator at the center of the action. They use their own smartphone – without any downloads or apps – to scan five QR codes and discover five different objects. A perfect interaction then follows: The artist places a real object between their closed hands; the spectator tries to guess which object is hidden. The unbelievable moment arises, regardless of whether the guess is right or wrong – every attempt builds suspense and feels meaningful.
Routine Sequence
- The spectator scans five QR codes with their own phone, without apps or installations.
- Five different objects become visible; the focus is on the real object, not on technology.
- The object is placed between the magician's hands; the spectator tries to guess what object it is.
- The process repeats, always with new objects and new spectator decisions, creating suspense through unpredictability.
- The finale delivers a prediction that accurately describes what happened: correct answers, errors, sequence, and decisions made – impossible to reconstruct mentally.
