Sakura V2 Playing Cards

Sakura Playing Cards by Francis Garcia is a limited edition deck printed by USPCC.

The Deck: Similar to the first edition of Sakura, the back design is specially designed in a cherry blossom style. It features a delicate design of tree branch silhouettes that extend inwards from the edges of the cards, running parallel to each other.
This specific use of tree branches is unique.

Color: In our first edition of Sakura Playing Cards, we used various shades of pink – just like the cherry blossom festival in Japan during spring. Now, Sakura is getting a frosty twist with our Winter Edition.

Sakura Playing Cards Winter Edition uses winter colors such as blue, white, and shades of gray.

The Tuck Box: Similar to the first edition, but with a frosty twist. The box features the same colors as the back design: blue, white, and shades of gray. The front of the box features a new design. As with the first edition, Mount Fuji is in the background, but the cherry blossom trees are completely covered in snow. The red shrine is a symbolic monument in Japanese culture, representing the entrance to a sacred place.

The Story: Sakura means cherry blossom in Japanese – a beautiful tree native to the land of Japan. BUT Sakura has a deeper meaning YOU might not know.

Sakura is a short-lived season in spring. For me, it symbolizes living life to the best of your ability. For the samurai, it meant impermanence, as they didn't know if they would die in battle the next day. Sakura is a lifestyle as well as my brand. Welcome to Sakura.
