Melting ball illusion

The performer displays a small wooden tube, a small wooden sword, and a steel ball. The tube has a slit in the middle through which the sword fits, splitting the tube in half. The sword is passed through the slit in the tube, and the ball is dropped into the tube from above. It is clearly visible that the sword prevents the ball from passing through. With a few magical gestures, the performer causes the ball to pierce the massive sword and fall to the ground.
