Sitta-mutilated parasol

The magician shows the audience a beautifully colored parasol. He opens and closes it a few times, then carefully wraps it in a piece of newspaper, leaving the tip and handle visible. He then places it on the table. He then reveals several colored silk threads and places them one by one into a bag that was previously shown to be empty. After a magical gesture, he tears open the bag and hurls its contents into the air. Instead of the silk threads, there is now the parasol's canopy! Finally, the magician removes the parasol from the newspaper, opens it, and shows that the canopy has completely disappeared, and the colored silk threads are hanging from each of the parasol's ribs!
