How the Routine Works (Without Manipulation)

• Pre-position: A folded card rests on top of the box and is held by a rubber band so that the spectator recognizes it immediately.
• Audience selects a card from the deck and signs it on the face. The card is shuffled back into the deck – completely normally.
• If desired, you can "capture" the card behind your back to increase the challenge. Spectators give you a time limit, e.g., 10 seconds.
• After the apparent failure, you take the card that was visible from the beginning off the box with your fingertips. It is given to the spectator and unfolded – and suddenly, this very card is the spectator's signed card.
