Thumb Tip 20th Century Frame – Magical Frame Illusion

The magician shows the audience an empty, rectangular wooden frame with a small hole on each side. Then, they pull out two yellow silk handkerchiefs and push one through the left hole and the other through the right hole of the frame. Next, they inflate a balloon and wedge it in the center of the frame. Now, they magically make the red silk handkerchief disappear. A moment later, the balloon pops, and the red silk handkerchief reappears – elegantly knotted between the two yellow handkerchiefs.

How the illusion works

After the balloon pops, the red handkerchief returns and hangs again between the yellow handkerchiefs – a surprising, yet logically understandable revelation that can be easily repeated.
