AmbiHole 2.0 – Invisible Hole Plate by Mickael Chatelain
AmbiHole 2.0 transforms a seemingly normal card routine into an astonishing deception where nothing is as it seems. The hole plate remains visually inconspicuous – the spectator should suspect nothing until the moment of revelation: The spectator's card appears under the plate, or it visibly vanishes as soon as you place the plate over the deck again. The gimmick truly remains invisible, and the description is 100% accurate to what you see and experience.
How AmbiHole 2.0 works
- The spectator selects a card; this card "gets lost in play" and later reappears in a surprising place.
- You place the hole plate on top of the deck and gently run your hand over it – the spectator's card mysteriously appears under the plate.
- You remove the plate and hand the card for examination – it is a completely normal card, nothing about the plate reveals the secret.
- For the opposite effect, you place the plate over the spectator's card again, which lies face up on top of the deck; the card remains visible. Run your hand over the plate, and the card "vanishes" again, while you immediately hand both the plate and card for examination.
- Fan the deck in your hand or on the table, and find the open card in the middle of the fan – a clever surprise that lingers.
Why AmbiHole 2.0 is unique
- Everything is examinable – neither the card nor the plate hide behind necessities that spectators could examine.
- The description is realistic and reliable – no hidden tricks, no manipulation required.
- Gimmick truly remains invisible – the camouflage works absolutely inconspicuously.
- Reset in 5 seconds – quick readiness for seamless follow-up effects or new performances.
- Versatile effects in a single gimmick – visible card under the plate or vanishing card, each with visibly verifiable results.
Practical Application Scenarios
Ideal for close-up performances, spontaneous street shows, or structured stage work. Perfect if you prefer a quiet, focused deception that actively involves spectators in the examination while maintaining convincing credibility. The two described effects open up flexibly designable routines – from "producing from under the plate" to the "open on the deck loss and reappearance" moment.
