Casual Playing Cards V2 by Paul Robaia

"This is the second edition of Casual Playing Cards. The design has been thoroughly refined compared to the original. The back features a clean, geometric pattern with a spectrum of true Pantone and spot colors: mint green, metallic gold, black, and white. The court cards have not only been recolored to complement the back design but also have a minimalist design, inspired by the original Smoke and Mirrors court cards. The Ace of Spades is also simple and minimalist. The Joker pays homage to a classic joker seen in 19th-century decks of cards from The Russell, Morgan & Co.; however, like the court cards, it has been stripped of excessive detail to promote minimalism.

The card sleeve was beautifully handcrafted by Clove Street Press, a San Diego-based letterpress company; it creates a sense of dimension because certain objects are embossed and others remain flat. I assembled each card by hand. Each card ships flat as an uncut sheet. I folded and glued each sleeve. I also placed the cards in each sleeve and packaged each sleeve with a cellophane bag, which allows me to package only one deck at a time. So, I hope you can tell that a great deal of time and care went into the production of this deck.
