Egg prediction

Show an egg, four stands, a hammer, and four coffee cups. Ask a spectator to place the egg on one of the stands and turn the cups upside down so that all the egg stands are covered. Mix them all up so you know which stand the egg is on. Do this while looking in the other direction, or feel free to go into another room if you wish. Enter the room with the hammer and start smashing the cups one by one until only one remains. Lift the last cup to reveal the egg!

• The spectators can examine everything. The included cardboard coffee cups are enough for one performance, but they are easy to find in many stores.
• The egg, the stands, and the hammer are carefully made of wood. The stands have a diameter of 8.9 cm (3.5") and are approximately 2 cm (0.78") thick. The hammer is 30.5 cm (12") long.
