Magic Boat

The performer displays a plastic "rod" and places it on the table. He spins it to demonstrate that it can rotate freely.

Then he rubs it against his sleeve to charge it with electrostatic energy and spins it again. Through sheer force of his mind, he can visibly stop the wand and make it spin in the opposite direction.
