Matching ESP card

The performer shows five jumbo-sized cards, each with an ESP symbol in a different color.
He shuffles the cards and puts them into five envelopes so that the audience cannot keep track of which one belongs where.
He also shows five regular-sized cards with identical ESP symbols on them. He shuffles these cards as well and places them, at the discretion of a spectator, into the five envelopes containing the jumbo cards.

When he removes the jumbo and regular cards from the envelopes, the symbol of each pair matches!
