“Portal” is a revolutionary breakthrough in the Signed Coin to Glass effect!

The Coin Through Glass effect is one of those rare effects where such simple and direct means can leave such a strong impression in the mind of the audience.
A coin signed by a spectator disappears, then is suddenly teleported and appears in an instant between two glasses, accompanied by the sound of coins falling from the air.
Due to the extreme popularity of the effect, there are many effects on the market that revolve around this premise.
What we present today is our version of the effect.

Co-presented by FISM Grand Prix Champion and Asia's Got Talent Champion Eric Chien.

Nearly 16 months of development, three redesigns and revisions, dozens of optimization and improvement tests. Here for you is perhaps the ultimate version of Signed Coin to Glass: Portal.

From start to finish, only one coin is used. No switch is necessary.
Two control methods. It features physical buttons on the left and right sides, as well as a remote control. The effect can even be performed completely hands-free.
It has an 1800 mAh lithium battery that lasts for 80-100 performances on a full charge.
Uses a magnetic charging port and has a convenient charge level indicator.
The extremely realistic pad surface was made by Eric himself and is used by him for his own performances.
The frame of the close-up pad is made of high-quality red rosewood and looks great even when used as a regular close-up pad.

The complete set includes:
Close-up pad.
Remote control.
Data charging cable.
Large glass.
Small glass.
The close-up pad measures 42 x 28 x 2.8 cm.

Due to the extremely limited internal space and strict control of the pad's thickness, more than 40 components had to be carefully designed to fit efficiently.
From the idea From conception to final production, it took almost 16 months, three redesigns and revisions, and dozens of optimization and improvement tests.
Due to the complex structure and high precision requirements, even in the mass production phase, more than 50% of the design and assembly processes must be carried out individually by hand.

The coins used can have a diameter of up to 38 mm. However, due to its weight and size, a half-dollar is considered relatively large, and the jump speed is not as fast as with smaller coins. For this reason, smaller coins are preferable. (A US quarter has a diameter of 24.26 mm.)

We put a lot of thought into how to make the effect silent and completely hidden, and we put enormous effort into this process.

Nevertheless, due to internal space constraints and the nature of the components, an unavoidable noise will be heard for about a second when the mechanism is engaged in a completely silent environment. However, in a normal performance environment, the sound may be hidden along with the performer's chatter or the music and go unnoticed. You could perform this close-up."
