Tube with liquid suspension

The performer shows an empty tube, a glass with colored liquid, and a clear glass. The liquid is poured into the tube and magically stays suspended in the tube!

Then a silk thread is passed through the tube and comes back out without getting wet, proving that the tube is empty.

The performer then passes the clear glass through the tube and the glass comes back out filled with the missing liquid!
