The performer shows two matchboxes. One box has three differently colored dots on one side of the tray, while the other has no dots on either side. The trays are opened to show that the boxes are completely empty. A spectator is asked to place them vertically on the table, like a wall. The dotted box is placed on the right side of their hand, and the other on the left. The performer explains that it is very important that both boxes lie on the same straight line. He then explains that the dots will leave the matchbox, pass through their hand, and attach themselves to the other matchbox. He then closes the trays of both boxes simultaneously. The boxes are removed to prove that the magical transference has taken place.
